Steel Stacks & Levitt Pavillion
Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks is a nonprofit community organization that presents nearly 50 FREE concerts each summer as part of the Levitt Summer Concert Series. The concerts take place at the Levitt Pavilion nestled at the base of the iconic Bethlehem blast furnaces on the SteelStacks arts and culture campus. The opening scene of director Michael Bay’s action flick transformed, pun intended, the ruins of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp.’s flagship plant into the site of a high-tech battle scene with requisite explosions.
Martin Guitars
A Martin isn’t just a guitar. It’s playable history; part of a long line of legendary instruments stretching back to the company’s beginnings in 1833. Our guitars were strummed by Civil War soldiers around campfires, helped shape the sound of modern music at the turn of the 20th century, and were played by music’s first superstars like Jimmie Rodgers and Gene Autry. Decades later, Martins floored the crowd at Woodstock, then took center stage on MTV Unplugged, and can be heard on countless classic and contemporary songs across all genres of music. Artists like Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Neil Young, John Mayer, Seth Avett, and many others all played Martins, creating much of the soundtrack of the last century.
Jacobsburg State Park
Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center spans 1,168 acres of forests, fields, and streams, offering abundant opportunities for both recreation and learning. Guests can explore exhibits at the visitor center during open hours or venture into Henrys Woods—an old-growth forest along Bushkill Creek featuring numerous hiking trails.
The center’s staff provides educational programs for all ages, from preschool through college, as well as community programs highlighting outdoor recreation, local history, and the region’s natural resources.
Adding to its historic significance, the site was once home to the production of the renowned Henry Rifle. Today, the Jacobsburg National Historic District—located almost entirely within the center—offers visitors a glimpse into an 18th-century colonial gun manufactory.
Jim Thorpe, PA (a.k.a. the Switzerland of PA)
Offering both the charms of a European village and the thrills of a mountain sports destination, this historic town nestled in Lehigh Gorge in Carbon County is one of the great gems of the Poconos.
The 1968 filming of The Molly Macguires, starring Sean Connery & Richard Harris was filming in Jim Thorpe and the town of Eckley in Northeastern PA. Interestingly, the movie resulted in the town of Eckley being saved from demolition. It was afterward converted into a mining museum under the control of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

Mother's Bar & Grille
Filmed largely in the Lehigh Valley in 1997, “The Florentine” infamously flopped and ended up being released directly to video despite an impressive cast that included Jeremy Davies, Michael Madsen, Luke Perry, Mary Stuart Masterson, Jim Belushi, Chris Penn, Hal Holbrooke, Tom Sizemore and Burt Young. The plot recounts the sad lives of blue- collar mill workers whose lives revolve around the bar of the same name as the movie. Scenes were shot at several locations in the region including: Bethlehem’s Minsi Trail Bridge, Holy Infancy Church, Nisky Hill and Cemetery; and Easton’s former Mt. Vernon Ale House, Elks Lodge No. 121 and Mother’s Bar off Centre Square.
Roxy Theater
Opened in 1921, the Roxy Theater continues to operate as a movie theater, concert hall and event rental venue in Northampton, PA. The late fifties also saw the return of live entertainment upon the Roxy’s stage, when concerts featuring singers Bobby Vinton, Bobby Rydell and Fabian were presented. Other performers throughout the years include Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Bruce Springsteen, KISS & Melissa Manchester. The Roxy Theater was featured in the 1992 movie “School Ties”, along with some other Lehigh Valley historic districts.
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
Since 1884, Dorney Park has been the place families and friends have come to gather for a day of FUN. With more than 60 rides, shows, attractions, an area made just for kids, and a waterpark, Dorney Park has amazing fun for everyone. Dorney Park Was featured in the movie Hairspray and more recently, The Hail Mary, produced by Bethlehem native, Daniel Roebuck.
Coca Cola Park
Coca-Cola Park, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is the home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Since its celebrated opening in 2008, the ballpark has been recognized as one of the most innovative venues in professional sports, earning numerous awards such as Ballpark Digest’s Ballpark of the Year and Gameops.com’s Best Game Operations and Presentation. Known for its intimate setting, fan-friendly atmosphere, and standout architectural design, Coca-Cola Park continues to receive high praise.
